Champ the Service Dog

Cassidy is ready for her service dog from Brigadoon! Meet Champ! Cassidy and Champ have been matched and we will be ready to go to training in the fall, so he can come home with us. Champ will provide Cassidy much more independence than she has previously seen. Right now Cassidy must have someone with her to push her wheelchair, open doors for her, pick things up off the floor when they fall, help steady her getting in and out of her car (yes she's ready for driver's ed!), and be overall more independent.
She did all the work herself, from filling out the application, obtaining the letters needed, and even sending in the check for the deposit. We need to raise a total of $15,000. Here is how this will all break down in cost. Champ is coming fully trained, his cost is $10,000. The remainder of the funds will be for the two week stay, plus food in Bellingham that will be required in the fall for both Cassidy and her mom Shannon, a harness (custom) around $500, and initial vet visit with our hometown vet, pet insurance premiums, new dog bed/toys, leash, and food for a month.
