Ready to Fly Book, Dr. Dan Erickson

People Matter Ministries, led by Dr. Dan Erickson, is seeking $3,400 to publish "Ready to Fly." [UPDATE: We reached the goal on 6.1.16!] The book was inspired by the sight of a caged eagle at the Omaha zoo. Dan realized that too many of us allow ourselves to be "caged" by our past, circumstances or pain. Like the eagle, we fail to soar and live up to the potential God has destined for us. 

Instead of changing the world, we live in a cage of our own making. We see bars instead of stars. The message of this book has inspired people to start new careers, volunteer, seek personal transformation, and take risks in the cause of good.

"Ready to Fly" was born out of a hospital stay where Dan received a wake-up call to make his life count. He had been pursuing security instead of transformational living. Afterward, he quit a steady day job and launched a non-profit, People Matter (www.peoplematterministries.com).

The $3,400 will be used to publish the book. If the goal is surpassed, additional funds will be used for other difference-making efforts of People Matter.
