Pen's Trip Home to Thailand

Hello all-- 
My name is Jenn Hawkes and I am writing this request on behalf of one of the most selfless, giving people I have ever had the honor of knowing. Vanpen Smith-- "Auntie Pen" as so many of us have come to know her-- has been the Infant Room Head Teacher at Windsor Academy for over 10 years. She has cared for and sincerely loved hundreds of babies. There is no one we, as parents, trust more to care for our tiniest treasures day in and day out when we ourselves cannot. Her advice has become paramount, she calms our worries, and we trust her input. Everything about Pen is genuine-- but nothing more so than her love for children. 
This year will mark 14 years since Pen has been home to her native Thailand. Unfortunately, circumstances are pressing as Pen has learned recently that her father is gravely ill and time is of the utmost importance. With a child of her own, finding the finances to make it home has been a near impossibility. Pen's family has never met her daughter, Chrissy, and while the opportunity is still there, we'd like to change that.
Ticket prices and passport fees are astronomical for Pen and her daughter to be able to visit, and we are asking for help in covering those costs. 
Pen does not know that I am setting up this gofundme on her behalf-- the thought of asking for help would never occur to her. However, there is no better way that I can think to thank a woman who loves our children so selflessly, wholly, and unconditionally. We couldn't ask for better care than what our babies receive in her arms. There really aren't enough words to describe our appreciation and gratitude-- or to praise her. 
Personally, as Pen has taken care of my 2 children, I am ever so appreciative of every contribution. This is a dream for her, and binding together, we can make it a reality. Thank you all, so much, from the bottom of all of our hearts.
