As of Thursday, Nov. 8,  2018, we are now homeless due to the devastating Camp Fire, in Paradise, CA, and we are beginning the process of rebuilding our lives. Your gifts will be used immediately, for all of our needs to start over:  household goods and furniture, clothing, food, literally everything.   Both of our family homes completely burned to the ground. The four of us escaped with our lives, with only 10 minutes to pack what we could, and raced out of the house with a few bare necessities. My 7 year old grandson, Willie, and I took off in one car, Scotty took another car, and Brain took his car. We all got separated at one point in the congested traffic, and met up again 4 hours later, as 27,000 Paradise residents fled the fast-burning, massive fires.

We are currently staying with some friends, but know that we will ultimately need to find our own place to start our lives over again. And for that reason, we’ve gratefully set up this fund.
