PEER (Pharmacy Ethics Education and Resources) is a 501(c)3 Non Profit Corporation created by Dixie Leikach for the purposes of promoting ethics in pharmacy. The sources of income come from those who generously support the concept of spreading the message of ethics throughout the pharmacy profession and through continuing education programs.
Sponsorships allow Dixie to give more presentations at a lower cost to other non profit organizations who are looking for quality speakers and interesting topics but may not have the budget to cover the costs of bringing such a speaker in. By being able to educate more pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and student pharmacists about ethics and how to make better ethical decisions within the pharmacy practice, Dixie's goal is to reduce medication errors, improve customer service, and raise the level of professionalism already associated with the pharmacy profession.
