Supporting Pedro's Road to Recovery

On January 13, 2016 our friend Peter (aka. Pedro) Donnellan experienced a traumatic skiing accident resulting in damage to his spinal cord. Pedro has no feeling and little control from the waist down. After surgery and a stay in the Drake Center, Peter is currently in residence and full-time rehab at a great facility in Mason, Ohio; Cedar Village (cedarvillage.org)
Almost 6 months ago, we started a campaign that raised $25,000 to help Pedro and his family cover the costs of outstanding medical bills and home modifications, such as the ramps and sidewalk that were installed at their house this past spring.
Currently, this active and charismatic father, grandfather, husband, and neighbor is confined to a wheelchair, and is unable to get out and about. A few of us had the pleasure of visiting Pedro recently. Although in great spirits, Pedro asked for help with mobility.
Pedro and Mary would like to get out and visit friends, family, rugby matches, etc. but currently do not have a vehicle which can accommodate Pedro and his wheelchair.
Our goal with this campaign is to raise enough money for the Donnellan’s to afford a wheelchair accessible van. It is our goal to raise an additional $30,000 to help with this significant and essential purchase for the family.
