Standing Rock Peace and Prayer Run

In partnership with World Peace and Prayer Day, we invite you to become a part of something sacred!
On April 22nd, 2017, Earth Day, a group of runners will leave the Standing Rock Reservation, each carrying ashes from the sacred fire that burned at the Water Protector's Oceti Sakowin camp. This Peace and Prayer Run, carried out by volunteer runners and cyclists, will spread the peaceful, prayerful energy that fueled the Water Protector's historic stand. They will disperse these ashes to all fifty states along their route between April 22 and June 21, World Peace and Prayer day, which is also the summer solstice. On that day, the sacred fire will be lit anew at sites in all fifty states.
Red Road Awareness is coordinating the Peace and Prayer Run from Indianapolis, Indiana through the entire state of Kentucky. This is a huge effort and one we hope you'll be a part of!
We need volunteers to assist with coordinating the runners, as well as donations of food, shelter, gas cards, personal items ect. for the week of May 6 - May 12, which is when they will be in our area. PLEASE CONTACT US AND LET US KNOW HOW YOU CAN HELP by writing us a message via this site. If you do not live in our area, or wish to help monetarily, please donate today!
The communal lighting of these 50 fires throughout the U.S. on June 21st will be a powerful symbol that the Standing Rock energy lives everywhere and people take a nonviolent stand for justice and peace, working to weave a world of positive relationships.
