Peace and Comfort for Zeus

Hello all. This is extremely difficult for me to be typing this right now. As most of you know our sweet black lab Zeus was born with Kidney disease that there was no cure. He is now 2 years and 9 months old and has began End Stage Kidney disease. This means our sweet boy is sick to the point of only having a week to a few left here on this earth. He is not really eating and is resting ALOT. We are keeping a very close eye on him to be sure he doesn’t suffer. We are showering him with love and anything we can get him to eat. We are set up with a veterinarian service who will come to our home to euthanize Zeus when the time is right. That way he will be in his own surroundings and surrounded by those who adore him. Unfortunately Don and I are still not back on our feet after both of us being out of work over the past year for periods of time. We spend hundreds on medications and prescription food each month for Zeus. We have no reserve and no extra. When the time comes to euthanize and cremate Zeus my biggest fear is him suffering and us not having the money available at the time to take care of his need. Both the veterinarian and the crematory require payment at time of service. As embarrassed as I am to publicly ask for help, here I am. If anyone can help us just a little, anything will be less worry. It will cost approximately $550 for both services. I swore I would never do something like this but the thought of our boy suffering makes my heart break in two. Thank you all for reading this and helping if you can. ❤️
