Trip to Standing Rock

My name is Gabriela Meza and I am a second year political science student at UCLA. I am very involved and active with social and political organizations on and off campus. 

I have marched against the Dakota Access Pipeline in Downtown Los Angeles and at a fundraiser for Hilary Clinton in Beverly Hills in which we demanded the attention of President Obama to stop the pipeline.

I am planning on spending Thanksgiving break fighting for our water alongside our Native brothers and sisters at the Standing Rock Reservation. I am very passionate about this issue and am 100% commited to fighting on the front lines. But because I am a full time, independent student, it is not financially feasable for me to go and help defend native lands. I am raising money for travel expenses, food and equipment needed to stay at the reservation from 11/23/16 to 11/27/16.
