¡Ayúdame en mi intercambio! De Caracas a Cracovia

Mi sobrina que vive en Venezuela fue aceptada para terminar sus estudios de pregrado en el exterior y deseo ayudarla a lograr esta meta haciendo esta recaudación de fondos para ella. Realmente apreciaría si pudieras tomarte un par de minutos para leer su historia:
“Hola, soy Manuela Belisario, estudio Ingeniería de Producción en la Universidad Simón Bolívar (USB) en Caracas, Venezuela y quiero pedir tu ayuda para lograr costear mi estadía en Cracovia, Polonia como parte del programa de intercambio académico SMILE en la AGH Universidad de Ciencias y Tecnología (AGH UST).
El programa SMILE (Student Mobility In Latin America and Europe por sus siglas en inglés) brinda la oportunidad a estudiantes de Latinoamérica de cursar estudios en Europa y viceversa. La selección se hace en base al índice académico, actividades extracurriculares, desempeño global del estudiante y otros factores para otorgar los cupos a los mejores candidatos. Apliqué y producto de mi desempeño logré quedar seleccionada. Este programa me permitirá cursar un semestre en Polonia con la posibilidad de extender mi estadía para realizar mis pasantías o proyecto de grado allí.
Mi experiencia en la USB ha sido increíble y muy variada ya que he buscado participar activamente en todas las oportunidades que me ha ofrecido esta gran universidad. He participado como voluntaria en la Federación de Centros Estudiantes desde 2013 durante el paro de profesores, fui miembro del cuerpo de primeros auxilios y parte de los creadores de material de concientización como el video “Todo Por Mi Universidad” entre otras actividades. Me desempeñé también como preparadora académica del Departamento de Física y como preparadora administrativa en la Editorial Equinoccio. He buscado aprender todo lo que he podido dentro de mi carrera completando con éxito mi pasantía corta en el área de logística y operaciones y mi servicio comunitario enfocado a la concientización del reciclaje de PET. Además, actualmente me desempeño como vicepresidenta del Club de Audio USB, agrupación que une el arte con la ciencia y la tecnología desde donde hemos podido desarrollar varios proyectos para toda la comunidad como al ExpoAudio 2018.
A donde me dirijo, la AGH, es la universidad técnica más grande de Polonia. Es una de las mejores y más modernas universidades del país, contando con la supercomputadora más grande de Polonia, 680 laboratorios completamente equipados y es líder entre las escuelas de educación superior en lo que a patentes se refiere entre muchos otros atributos. Además, siendo su campus el más extenso de todo el país, cuenta con excelentes instalaciones para hacer vida dentro del mismo (centro deportivo, tiendas, asistencia médica, etc) y se encuentra ubicado en el centro de Cracovia, considerada la capital cultural del país.
El semestre propiamente (clases y evaluaciones) dura del 25 de febrero al 30 de junio de 2019. La matrícula me es exonerada, así que cubrir los gastos de mi manutención durante mi estadía en Cracovia es lo único que me separa de cumplir mi sueño. Debido a la severa crisis económica y social que ha estado sufriendo Venezuela en los últimos años me veo obligada a pedir ayuda para cubrir los gastos y alcanzar mi meta, ya que me es imposible costearlos por mi cuenta. Dicho esto, mis gastos serán los siguientes:
- Pasaje de avión (ida y vuelta) + impuesto de salida: 1300 € (EUR)
- Seguro médico y de accidentes (requisito para optar por la visa estudiantil): 133 € (EUR)
- Ropa de invierno faltante: 62 € (EUR)
- Alquiler mensual de habitación en el campus (más económico que en la ciudad): 130 € (EUR)/mes
- Mercado mensual (comida y productos básicos): 80 € (EUR)/mes
- Tarjeta de transporte mensual: 23 € (EUR)/mes
- Plan de teléfono mensual: 7 € (EUR)/mes

My niece who lives in Venezuela has been accepted in an academic exchange program to finish her major abroad and I wish to help her achieve this goal by making this crowdfunding for her. I would really appreciate it if you could take a couple of minutes to read her story:
“Hi I'm Manuela Belisario, I study Production Engineering at the Universidad Simón Bolívar (USB) in Caracas, Venezuela and I want to ask you for your help to fund my stay in Krakow, Poland as part of the academic exchange program SMILE in the AGH University of Science and Technology (AGH UST).
The SMILE program (Student Mobility In Latin America and Europe) offers the opportunity to students in Latin America to study in Europe and vice versa. The selection process is made based on grades, extracurricular activities, overall performance of the student and other factors to grant the spots to the best candidates available. I applied and as a result of my performance in my university I was able to attain a spot. This program will allow me to study a semester in Poland with the possibility to extend my stay to do my internship or thesis there.
My experience at the USB has been incredible and diverse because I have tried to participate actively in all the opportunities this great university has offered me. I participated as a volunteer in the Federation of Students' Centers since 2013 during the teachers' strike, I was a member of the first aids corps and of the creators of awareness material such as the video “Todo Por Mi Universidad” during my first years at university. I also worked as a teacher's assistant at the Physics Department and an administrative assistant at the Equinoccio Editorial. I have sought to learn all I can in my field of study successfully completing my short internship in the logistics and operations area and also my community service which focused on the need to create awareness about the recycling of PET. Additionally, at the moment I am vice-president of the Club de Audio USB (Audio Club USB), a student organization which fuses art with science and technology through which we have been able to develop different projects for all the community such as the ExpoAudio 2018.
The AGH, where I’m heading to, is the largest technical university of Poland. It is one of the best and most modern universities of the country, it owns the largest supercomputer in Poland, 680 completely equipped laboratories and it’s a leader among Polish Schools of Higher Education with regard to the number of patent applications in the European Patent Office among other great attributes this university has. Furthermore, this being the largest campus in the country, it has excellent facilities (sports center, stores, medical assistance, etc) and it is located at the very center of Krakow, considered the cultural capital of Poland.
The semester actually lasts from the 25th of February to the 30th of June of 2019 (classes and exams). The tuition fee is exonerated, so covering my living and accommodation expenses during my stay in Krakow is the only thing that separates me from making this dream a reality. Because of the severe economic and social crisis that Venezuela has been suffering for years, I find myself in the need to ask for help to cover all the expenses and achieve my goal, due to the fact that it is completely impossible for me to pay the costs on my own. Having said this, these are my expenses:
- Round trip plane ticket + tax for exiting the country: 1300 € (EUR)
- Health and accidents insurance (requisite to acquire the student’s visit): 133 € (EUR)
- Missing Winter gear: 62 € (EUR)
- Monthly dormitory fee (cheaper than a flat in the city): 130 € (EUR)/month
- Monthly groceries and basic items: 80 € (EUR)/month
- Monthly transport card: 23 € (EUR)/month
- Monthly cellphone service: 7 € (EUR)/month
