PCMC 10th Anniversary Concert

In 2007, a group of gay men in Mobile, AL gathered together for the same purpose: to make music as the Gulf Coast Gay Men's Chorus. 10 years later the Port City Men's Chorus continues to share our voices with the gulf coast. And this April 15, we will be celebrating a decade of harmony with our 10th Anniversary Concert.

Not only is the Port City Men's Chorus one of the only men's chorus in Mobile, but it is one of only two primarily gay men's choruses in the state. We have provided our unique gift of fraternal song at pride celebrations, local Art Walks, church services, and many other events throughout the area. We hope to continue sharing this gift for another 10 years, but we can't do it alone.

From renting venues to purchasing sheet music to paying our wonderful accompanists and directors, a chorus can be surprisingly expensive. We're lucky to have the support of local and state organizations but sometimes these aren't enough. Your support can help us with the above expenses, but also future endeavors like:
- Recruiting new members
- Recording concerts
- Travel to GALA Chorus Festivals
- Scholarships to support members

We're hoping to raise at least $1,000 by our 10th Anniversary Concert. Whether you've enjoyed our music through the years or simply want to support the cause, all of our members - past, present, and future, appreciate your support. Any donation you make is tax-deductible, thanks to the support and non-profit status of the Mobile Arts Council.

To thank you for your support, we're offering several rewards, including recognition at the concert, dinner with members, and a private concert (PBS and NPR got nothing on us!) Some of these rewards are limited, so be sure to grab them early. You must select a reward on the right to receive it; otherwise, you may donate independent of a reward. Please note that all rewards are subject to negotiation with the members and board of the PCMC.
