Janice Lockamy, Cat Rescuer Fund

My dear friend and animal rescuer Janice Lockamy, age 60 was killed on Sunday, July 2. 2017 while transporting kittens to their forever homes. She was the gracious lady that brought Vinnie and Minmae to me. Her husband Kent ( Frank) Lockamy was driving and was injured . Janice also has two son's. The family and various non kill rescue organizations desperately need immediate funding for the rehoming of their adopted pets that are still in their home. Some are in need of Vet Care and.  The family also needs help with their home and various bills.

I have created this funding page first and foremost to help the animals that are in the home and for home improvements. Whatever money is left thereafter will be given to the family. But the animals come first. We are currently working with various rescues to safe these animals and find them homes. Access to the home has to be given to make that possible. Funeral homes can work out a payment plan and are not the main focus of this funding page. This is for the animals just like Janice would have wanted it. This page is created to honor the legacy of Janice and her compassion for animals.

Janice loved all her fur children and would be devastated if Animal Control would pick them up and placed them in kill Shelters. We want to keep Janice's love and devotion for her animals alive by fulfilling her dream of saving them all and honor her undying commitment. Janice was such a beautiful and caring soul that was taken from us way too soon.
16 out of the approximately 21 cats accounted for in her car were transported to a Shelter and another Sanctuary. There are still 5 missing cats and possibly injured and on the loose. Traps have been set to hopefully find these poor babies.
I set up this Gofundme Page and asked for a small donation from anyone that loves and has fur kids. We now need to help this family.
Janice was such a wonderful friend not just for humans but for fur children as well.

JANICE, YOU WERE AN ANGEL TRANSPORTING THESE BEAUTIFUL BABYS TO THEIR FUREVER LOVING HOMES ON SUNDAY. NOW YOU’RE AN ANGEL HELPING THOSE CROSS OVER TO THE RAINBOW BRIDGE. PLEASE GIVE MY 9 KIDS A BIG HUG AND A KISS FROM THEIR MOMMY. AND TO JANICE'S FAMILY, I'M SO VERY TERIBBLY SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS. SHE PASSED AT WHAT SHE LOVED DOING MORE THAN ANYTHING IN LIFE. MY SINCEREST CONDOLENCES TO THE ENTIRE FAMILY.

Janice never asked for a dime, never even wanted to accept gas money when transporting animals to their forever homes. When she and her son brought Minmae to me I cooked them a vegan dinner. I love them dearly. She and her husband were doing this out of the goodness of their heart and certainly didn't have the funds and that's why I NEED every one of my friends to donate a few dollars.
