Payton Whatley’s Family (Tornado Relief)

Donation protected
My name is Evan Braun.  I’m the head baseball coach at Beauregard High School.  I have been teaching and coaching at Beauregard for 10 years.  On Sunday, a lot of the community that I have called home was completely destroyed by the tornadoes that passed through Lee County.

Payton Whatley is a junior at Beauregard High School.  He is our starting catcher on the baseball team.  On Sunday March 3, 2019, Payton’s house was hit by the tornado that devastasted Lee County.  Payton was at home with his mother Remy, father Steve, grandmother Vicki, sister Mackenzie, and friend Jordan when the tornado hit.  His entire house was destroyed and worse than that, his grandmother Vicki Braswell was killed after one of the walls collapsed on her during the storm.  This family’s life has been changed forever.  I created this fund in hopes of providing a small amount of relief to Payton Whatley and his family during a very difficult time.  Please consider donating.  Thanks.

**If you do not want to donate here, please consider helping other families in this area.  I’ve spent the last 2 days in some of the hardest hit areas up here, and there are many, many, many more who are in need.  I would also recommend donating money.  There has been so many amazing people and organizations that have provided food, water, clothes, hygiene supplies, shelter, and many other day to day needs that they have started sending some away at some of the relief locations.  These families will desperately need help fincanially to begin putting their lives back together.
