Paying Tribute to Rosalina (Linda) Tajan

Donation protected
Rosalina (Linda) Caguimbal Tajan, a grandmother to 3 boys, a mother to 3 boys, a doggy mom of 2, a widowed wife, a sibling of 10, an aunt to many and a friend to all will be dearly missed.

Linda will always be remembered as someone with a huge heart – generous, loving, thoughtful and caring.  Although she wasn’t in the greatest position, she was always there to lean on and gave what she could to help family and friends.  Not a tech savvy person, she took time to learn and create birthday pic collages to post on Facebook wishing all a happy birthday.

In spite of complications she was having, she endured her pain and discomfort which limited her mobility but didn’t keep her from taking her two dogs, Coco and Gizmo, out for walks 2 – 3 times a day.  She also made rare trips out of Salinas to watch her youngest son finish endurance races such as Western States or spending at least one holiday with all of her sons, grandchildren and daughter-in-laws in the Greater Sacramento Area.

On Monday, March 4, 2019, Linda was experiencing some prior breathing issues which was addressed to her doctor and was administered a shot to help improve her breathing.  Later in the day, her breathing issue lead to an asthmatic attack which followed by cardiac arrest as her heart struggled to supply oxygen to her body, most especially her brain.  Although she had coded 3 times for nearly a total of 30-minutes, doctors and emergency responders didn’t give on her.  Once her heart was stable, she was placed under sedation to allow her time to recover.  Her initial brain scan had already shown signs of damage and further damage was determine upon the speed of her recovery.

Thursday, March 7th, it was unfortunate news on her eldest son’s birthday that her entire brain had sustained damage and that the only part of her brain left was the stem.  Sadly, Linda had passed the following day at 6:56 PM PST.

Due to her fixed income and strong will to live; prior hospital visits, medication and living expenses didn’t leave her enough allowance for life insurance.  Knowing how humble she was, she would want a ceremony that’s very small, simple and cheap.  Considering how many lives she had touched, she honestly deserves better and that is why her sons would like to raise money through March 22nd to give her a much deserved ceremony for all her family and friends to attend.
