In early July Aaron and I found out we were expecting twins. We are due March 5th. Things were looking great, until July 19th, Aaron was severly injured in a fire that started in his shop. He suffered 2nd degree burns over 30% of his body, and 3rd degree burns over 10% of his body.
On July 23rd I developed a blood clot that stretched from mid-thigh all the way down to mid-calf over my knee, and I was asked to stay off of my leg. This meant missing work until my doctor felt it was safe for me to walk on it again.
During the time I was at the hosptial with Aaron, and resting the blood clot, I also managed to pick up strep throat. The ER doctor who swabbed my throat missed, and basically only gagged me with the swab. He told me I was negative for strep, and to treat it with tylenol.
A few days after this, morning sickness hit me so hard I couldn't even keep water down. I went untreated for 9 days before my fever spiked, and I developed a rash.
My primary doctor determined I had strep, but it had also turned into scarlet fever. The infection had also moved into my lungs giving me pnemonia. Again, I was asked to stay home from work.
Aaron was in and out of the hospital during this time for infections, fevers, and swelling. I did my best to help him, but was so sick myself I wasn't able to. He was finally re-admitted into the hospital where they kept him for almost another week. He was discharged to Highland House for 9 days of physical therapy and rehab.
I was out of work due to illness, taking care of him, and bed rest for almost a month. Now I'm back at work, but bills from the last month are mounting. I have not been able to pay power, water, or rent this month.
I also found out I am being evicted as of November 30th. I have to be out of the house by December 1st.
I am hoping to bring in enough money to pay my past bills, pay off my current rent situation, and have enough left to pay first, last and deposit on a new place.
