Fund A Vet For Thai Strays!

$1,900 of $2,000 goal

Every paw matters!
My name is Isabella Barnes, I will be climbing Mount Rainier (10,411ft) on 20th July 2017 to raise money for Phangan Animal Care for Strays (PACS). It will take three days to reach the snow capped summit of Washington's highest peak.

Thailand, as most of you might know, has a HUGE stray animal problem which affects both animal welfare and the communities.

PACS is a small independent charity on the island of Koh PhaNgan, Thailand, dedicated to providing free health care to the island's stray animals. Their spay neuter project has seen great results so far thanks to visiting vets. However with a permanent vet onsite many more stray animals can be helped. I have seen first hand the amazing work the team do and how much they are in need of a permanent vet.
PACS will also be using the funds to buy vaccines and essential medicines. In total they need $12,000 to fund medicines and to hire a vet for a year.

You can help save lives!

Knowing I have helped such an amazing organisation, and such a fantastic group of people would really mean the world to me, PACS will always have a special place in my heart.

Visit their website to witness yourself the amazing work they carry out!

A huge thank you to everyone who has donated towards such a great cause!!
I'm so proud to say that I successfully made it to the summit of Mount Rainier at around 8:15am July 22nd.
It was the most challenging achievement of my life and I am so glad I was able to do it in the name of Phangan Animal Care for Strays. The struggle to the top was in no comparison to the daily struggle of stray animals in Thailand. Now we can help!
I am on the far left :)

It's currently 3:45am. I'm packed and ready to go! Just slurping on my coconut milk oatmeal, breakfast of champions before setting off.
I want to thank everyone who has supported me and the cause throughout and I will strive to make it to the summit not only for the animals but for every single one of you!
ITS STILL NOT TOO LATE TO DONATE!! Spread the word of my climb and let's get PACS the vet they desperately need!

Urging everyone I know to ask friends and family to donate towards an amazing cause!
I'll be trudging up this mountain for the stray animals of Koh Phangan, Thailand! Can you spare your morning coffee to help?
Our currencies go so far in developing countries like Thailand, even if you think "I can't donate much so why bother" THINK AGAIN! It goes much farther than you think!

6 days and counting! ITS NOT TOO LATE TO DONATE!
Had my last hike a couple of days ago carrying 55lbs. Needless to say I can't wait to get back to carrying 10-20lbs on day hikes.
I plan to do some maintenance type training this week to keep at my current fitness level and not risk any injuries so close to the big day.
