Paul Torsch Medical and Misc.

Looking for donations to help cover miscellaneous expenses related to Paul's illness. He was rushed to St. Joseph's hospital in St Paul, MN late in the evening on 3/26/17 when he began having seizures. His symptoms were sudden onset, and he had never had anything like this in his medical history. He continued to have seizures even while sedated and was in the Intensive Care Unit for a total of 17 days, and in a recovery room for an additional 5 days. Doctors at the original hospital had difficulty determining the cause, and after many, many tests he was transferred to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. They finally think they figured it out, and he has responded well to the treatment so far. 

Paul has a long recovery ahead of him, and will likely be off of work for months. What they determined for a cause is rare, but fortunately, many of the people who get it make full or very nearly full recoveries over time.

Paul is from Wisconsin and his girlfriend, Jessica Dittmer, and father, Bill Torsch, stayed by his side during this terrible ordeal. They stayed at a hotel nearby the hospital in St Paul for the 9 days he was there, and were able to stay with family in Rochester. They are finally getting back to work themselves as they were determined to remain by his side until he could come home.

Additional considerations:
Now  that Paul is released, he is expected to be off of work upwards of a couple of months while he recovers. 
He is also going to be without his Driver's license until cleared, which can take months.
