Paul Verle Donley passed away on Tuesday, January 10th after a valiant battle with cancer. He was forty years old.

Paul was born in Fort Sill, Oklahoma to Rod Donley and Kathryn Wallace on November 2, 1976. A graduate of Chippewa Valley High School, Paul was an outstanding high school athlete who played football at Ferris State University before injuries ended his playing career. He also attended Lansing Community College.

Paul married Christiina Tymoszewicz on June 28, 2008. They were blessed with a too brief, yet wonderful life together that included their two daughters: 7-year-old Morgan and 4-year-old Nora.

Paul was a partner with his father in their family business, Key Wholesale Flooring.

Paul exuded life. His unique sense of humor made him quick to laugh, or to crack a joke. His kind and generous heart was well known to his friends and family. Paul’s faith in Christ was evidenced by the way he accepted others, refusing to label or judge those who were different than him.

Paul coached women's club lacrosse at Michigan State University and women’s lacrosse for Haslett and Williamston High Schools.  He was a deacon at South Lansing Christian Church. He loved to spend time with his family and friends, and especially enjoyed smoking meat for their gatherings. Paul was also an avid fisherman. He passed the love for fishing and the outdoors onto his daughters.

Paul is survived by his wife of eight years, Christiina, and their daughters, Morgan and Nora; his father, Rod Donley and stepmother, Judi Donley, his mother, Kathryn Wallace and her late husband, Donald Barr; his stepbrother Matt and stepsister Megan; his stepbrother David Barr and his wife Maria; stepsister Dawn Marie and her husband Steve Gower, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and countless friends who will all miss him terribly.

A Celebration of Paul's life will be held at 11:00am on February 4th at South Lansing Christian Church located at 6300 Aurelius Road in Lansing, Michigan.

A MI-529 Investment Account has been opened for Nora and Morgan.  You can make an electronic donation on this site or mail a check made payable to MI 529 Advisor Plan to   South Lansing Christian Church 6300 Aurelius Road, Lansing, MI 48911.
