Gofundme Patti Mullin Rowing for the Ireland team.

Hi, I'm Patti, this is a picture of me lying in my boat after winning my place on the Ireland rowing team on Saturday at the Irish National Championships in Cork. I am completely honoured and delighted to have this opportunity to represent my country. I am 15 years old. I have been on the Rowing Ireland Development Squad training at the Belfast Boat Club for ten months.  I have now made the team and will be travelling to Scotland next Friday with the Irish team to compete in the Home Countries Competition against Scotland, England and Wales. I will be training on the team squad from tomorrow until we leave Ireland for the competition. This year the host nation is Scotland and we will be travelling to Strathclyde as a team to compete in the races on Saturday 27th July 2019.  I'm going to need some sponsorship to cover the cost of the extra kit and associated travel costs that I will need to train well and attend the event. Any sponsorship contribution at all would really help. Rowing is not heavily funded as a sport, and the equipment and kit we use in training and competitions is shared and not always in great condition. There are a few things I'll need to take me to international level and all help would be much appreciated. As well as qualifying for the Ireland team on Saturday, the day before I also won a Silver National Championships Medal in the Junior Doubles Under 18's with my team mate Lucy McCoy. Three weeks ago I won Gold in the Athlone Regatta in Women's Under 16 singles and two Golds in singles and doubles under 16's  in the Belfast Sprint Regatta in May. It has been a busy ten months and a huge learning curve, I love rowing and am delighted to now be on the Ireland team.
