A Show of Hands - A Love Project

MY REALITY: Divorced mother of three awesome kids living paycheck-to-paycheck like everyone else. Just getting by, but living in the attitude of gratitude, and I am so very grateful. My kids are my world and my reason for living in a small, close-knit community in a southwestern Colorado mountain town.

MY DREAM: To buy a piece of property and have a permanent home for myself and my kids. I'm a simple woman, nothing big and fancy - just ours. Renting, and being subjected to the demands and wills of others is becoming cumbersome.

I live in one of the most beautiful mountain communities in Colorado. As a 911 Emergency Services Dispatcher for Fire, Police and EMS, I give myself to this community on a daily basis, and I love my job, albeit a stressful one.  I am most happy when I live and work in servitude. Quite frankly, I wouldn't have it any other way.

I have called this community home for 16 years now. But the opportunity to make a lucrative living is not without its challenges. For a divorced mother of three children, it is next to impossible to save money. Just getting by is the way of life here. A price we pay to live in paradise. And I'm good with that too.

I would like to buy property and build or buy a home. I would like to make our dreams come true.

I have next to nothing in my savings account, and would love and appreciate your contribution, which will help bring us closer to owning our own little piece of paradise, rather than borrowing it from someone else.

I learned a life changing fact, about fifteen years ago. "Happiness is not a place, it's a state of being." The emotional and mental state of mind that is focused on optimism, positivity, generosity and true appreciation, along with the power of intention, will bring you happiness. I have experienced first hand how the Law of Attraction, unconditional love and faith can change lives. I have experienced and witnessed countless magical and miraculous moments here in Pagosa Springs. And I'm so very grateful to live and work and raise my children here...

This community has been the epitome of giving back, and it's amazing how the collective can support the few just by donating $20 to help someone else instead of buying that dinner at a fast food restaurant.

I have lived a Pay-It-Forward life, and have personally contributed more than $10,000 in fundraising efforts to various members and non-profit organizations in our community.  My favorite was through the Pagosa Springs Penguin Plunge - where silly folks like me jump into the 34 degree waters of the San Juan River on behalf of their favority charity. I was a penguin for four years; the Pagosa Springs Youth Center and Archuleta County Victim Assistance were my focus. I love giving back.

Please help me raise the money I need to follow our dreams and breathe a little easier in the community that takes my breath away. Thank you.

May all your  days be blessed with the joy of love and laughter.
