Pat Hartley and her late husband, Wayne, are well known throughout their Bluefield, WV community. They are best known for their involvement with church and the local Boy Scout activities.
It was heartbreaking and jaw dropping for so many to learn that Pat, 81, was brutally beaten and robbed in her home Friday, January 20th. Her injuries were so severe that she was transferred to Charleston Area Medical Center where she spent time in critical condition at CAMC's Intensive Care Unit.
Due to the severity of her injuries, her road back to wellness will not be an easy one. It will require several days/months of recuperation and rehabilitation. Those of course translate to substantial medical expenses.

My name is Andrew Taylor and I now live in Lincoln, NE. For anyone who may not know my relationship to Pat, she is the wife of my Boy Scoutmaster. They were both a positive influence to me in my youth. Monies raised in this campaign will go directly to pay for Pat's unexpected medical expenses due to this tragic event. I personally will not have access to this fund. I have been in contact with Pat's daughter, she is handling Pat's needs at this time and will be withdrawing funds on Pat's behalf.
