Pastor John Kim's Totaled Car Fund

Hello Dear Friends and Church Family, as you may have heard, our beloved Pastor John recently had his car hit at a local parking lot. Thankfully no one was hurt, just the car which I just learned today was totaled so Pastor John will be looking for a replacement car after the old car is appraised by the insurance company. As we all know, Pastor John commutes a lot so having a car is very important to him. If I remember correctly, on many days he puts in close to 100 miles/day. His commutes consists of driving to church in Glendale, to take his daughter to school in the mornings, to his Doctorate program at Biola, to Orange county/San Diego/ San Jose for training/mentoring of other Pastors, and to various places in LA to help grow/build up the local church.  Having a reliable car that has good gas Mileage is essential for his ministry in LA.  

I am setting up this fund for him not from his requests (he is unaware of this, let’s keep it this way for now) but as I see this would be a great need that would help him. His payout for his car likely will net around $2000 and that will be all the Kim family could afford to purchase the next replacement car. He's been looking around and that would mean a car that is 10+ years old with around 120,000-150,000+ Mileage. If Pastor John's ministry has touched any of your lives, please prayfully considering donating to help him get a better car that would allow for him to not have to worry about the car breaking down with better gas mileage.  Please note that I will transfer all the funds from this page directly to Pastor John once the funding ends. He's in urgent need of a replacement car so let’s aim to end the contributions by January 8th (midnight). Thank You!

Hello Everyone! I just spoke with Pastor John and Angela today, they are very encouraged/overwhelmed by everyone's generosity and overall quite shocked by the amount of support and love shown. In less than 48 hours, we've raised $3125 to support them in their car replacement hunt. Thanks to everyone for their prayers/likes/shares/donations.

Although I set a goal of $3000 that was met, I wanted to open it up still until midnight tonight (1/8) to continue the contributions before I close it, so that they could withdrawal the money and get started with the car hunting this week. If anyone still wants to help donate and raise the amount a little more to give them some leeway that would be great!

Also if you have donated, could you let me know if you DO NOT want your names released to Pastor John, I will keep the amount donated anonymous.

For those that contributed in cash amount ($350 so far), I have already handed over those to Angela Kim. I have also given Pastor John the beneficiary rights to withdrawal the contributions directly from the website.
