Passion and Purpose Field Trip to India

Passion and Purpose Trip:

I will be going on an a trip to India from 11-20 November 2019, an
ethical and socially responsible adventure visiting a number of NGOs
and social enterprises. These organisations work in the areas of
education, supporting women, marginalised youth, employment, healthcare and sanitation. The purpose of this trip is to see first-hand the
ways in which philanthropy and NGOs make an impactful difference
and why they are still greatly needed throughout India. 
 
Dress for Success Sydney is the charity partner of this rewarding
adventure, I will commit to fundraising a donation of $1500 for Dress
for Success Sydney, whose mission is to empower women to achieve
economic independence.  Do you want to join me in making a

Dress for Success Sydney improves the employability of women by
increasing confidence and restoring dignity. It does this by providing
women in need, free of charge in high quality professional attire and
providing practical advice in preparation for job interviews. In 2015/16 we dressed 2243 women, conducted 118 career support workshops,
engaged more than 315 volunteers in our services who donated more
than 16,000 hours. We distributed 24,173 items of clothing to our
clients worth an estimated 22k.87% of our clients leave our dressing
program feeling highly confidence for their job interview.86% of the
women that participate in our career programs achieve a positive
outcome including 30% into full time, 41% secure part time, 5% casual employment, 6% engage in training or further education and 4%
participate in volunteering activities.
