*Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight." - This has been the anchor on which I have been relying in order to stay calm in the midst of the storm of life. Such a time is this as I have been called to go to ministry school.

Bethel Church in Redding, CA

BACKGROUND:
Just a few months ago I had discovered Bethel Church, and it's pastor, Bill Johnson. Upon hearing the first sermon, it was almost as if a giant steak was handed directly to me to feed my hungry soul. However, the more meat I was fed the hungrier I became. Only a few weeks passed and a friend of mine mentioned that Bethel Church is located in Redding, CA. Having attended high school for a few years near there, I knew exactly where that was and it was as if a switch flipped in my heart and a sudden conviction of "I have to learn more about this" came over me. This wasn't so much of a desire as it was a strong invisible pull towards Bethel Church. As a result of this pull, I prayed to God, "I will know this is where You want me to go if I get accepted. If I don't then I will continue waiting for the call you have on my life." I interviewed for the school, and at the end, the interviewer informed me that it would be 2-4 weeks before I hear a decision. At this point I was unsure if going to Bethel was even something I wanted to do since it would be happening too soon and I did not save any money for it. So, again, I gave it to God and within only 4 hours of completing the interview I received my acceptance email!
WHAT WILL HAPPEN:
Bethel's Ministry School will be equipping me for global revivalist ministry; building out intimate relationship with God, making disciples of all nations and strengthening our spiritual gifts. I still do not know what my area of focus will be, nor how God will use this training in my life. All I know at this point is that God wanted me to move to Redding, CA and become a ministry student at Bethel. I am taking a leap of Faith.
THE NEED:
As a result of this happening surprisingly quickly, no additional funds have been saved in preparation. I have spent half of my savings on buying a used car in Phoenix, my flight from NYC to Phoenix, as well as security deposit on an unfurnished room I will be renting in Redding. My rent it $275.00/month+$50 utilities, I will also have food costs, car insurance, gasoline, and other monthly costs. Tuition is $5,000, and there will be a missions trip in the spring that I am budgeting $2,000-$3000 for. I also have credit card payments from purchasing a laptop that I will be using for my schooling. I plan on getting a part-time job to help cover these monthly costs, however, that is also up to God. The funds I am asking for on this campaign will cover the cost of the school tuition for the year and for the missions trip I will be going on in the Spring. If you feel called to give more and support me monthly either with prayer or finances, it will be greatly appreciated.
The things God calls us to do don't make sense. Breakthroughs don't make sense, miracles don't make sense, mercy and grace don't make sense, and having Faith when it appears impossible definitely doesn't make sense. Thankfully we follow a Higher Power who keeps His promises, and all we have to do is trust Him.
