Paris X au Harvard WorldMUN Tokyo 2020

Chers amis, familles et camarades MUNer :)

Nous sommes 16 étudiants de l'Université Paris Nanterre, en France et voici notre histoire :
Au cours des deux dernières années, nous avons eu l’occasion de prendre part au Harvard World Model United Nations (également connu comme étant les Jeux Olympiques de toutes les simulations de l’ONU). Cette année, nous souhaitons une fois de plus être présents et faire briller la France et notre université parmi les meilleures écoles du monde entier. Cependant, cette année, la conférence se tiendra à Tokyo au Japon, à l’autre bout du monde, ce pourquoi il est très difficile pour nous de rassembler les fonds nécessaires afin d’y envoyer nos étudiants. Après plusieurs simulations, nous avons estimé que chacun de nos étudiants devrait débourser environ 650 € (+/- 720 USD), somme qui est difficile à atteindre pour la plupart de nos membres qui dépendent déjà de bourses d’études pour leurs dépenses quotidiennes. Participer à ce concours nous aiderait non seulement à accentuer la renommée de notre société MUN, mais nous permettrait aussi  d'offrir à nos étudiants l'incroyable opportunité de découvrir un nouveau continent et une toute nouvelle culture, ainsi que de participer à la plus prestigieuse simulation de l’ONU du monde. Ces simulations apprennent à nos étudiants à interagir avec grande diplomatie, à négocier et à débattre de sujets difficiles avec dévouement et professionnalisme.

C’est un très grand rêve pour nous et signifierait beaucoup si nous pouvions compter sur votre soutien afin de faire de ce rêve une réalité, non seulement pour nos étudiants mais aussi pour ce qu’il symbolise, en aidant des étudiants de divers horizons à vivre les joies de la découverte du monde et la participation à une compétition internationale. 

Voici un aperçu de ce que notre budget représente pour nos étudiants:
Billets d'avion: 570 €
Frais de conférence: 150 €
Airbnb / hôtel: 230 €
Total par personne: 950 €

Grâce à l'université de Paris Nanterre qui nous aide à financer une partie du voyage, le montant par élève descend à 650€.


Nous sollicitons votre aide aujourd’hui car nous souhaitons donner à tous nos étudiants la possibilité de prendre part à un événement aussi spécial et leur donner la même chance qu’aux autres étudiants plus privilégiés. Tout aide, même 1 € nous rapproche de la réalisation de ce voyage.  En remerciant tout ceux qui feront un don ainsi que notre université pour leur aide.

Dear friends, family and fellow MUNers :)

We are 16 students of the Paris Nanterre University in France and here is our story:
For the past couple of years we have had the opportunity to take part in the Harvard World Model United Nations (also known as the Olympics of all UN simulations) which is held in a different city every year. This year we would like to once more, be present and set the name of France and our University amongst some of the best schools in the world. However, this year the conference will be held in Tokyo, Japan which makes it very challenging for us to find the sufficient funds to send our students. After doing multiple simulations, we have estimated that each of our student would have to pay about 650€ (+/- $720 USD), a sum that is difficult to obtain as most of us already rely on scholarships for our everyday expenses. Attending this competition would not only help us set the name for our MUN Society, but also help us empower every single one of our students by giving them the incredible opportunity of discovering a new continent, country and culture as well as participating in the world’s most prestigious MUN simulation. These simulations teach our students how to interact with great diplomacy, how to negotiate, and how to debate difficult topics with devotion and professionalism.

This is a very big dream for us and it would mean the world to us if you could help make it a reality, not only for our students but for what it symbolizes too, helping students from various backgrounds and ethnicity experience the joys of discovering the world and competing internationally.

Thanks to our university Paris Nanterre who has agreed to fund part of our trip, the total left to pay per student is at 650€.

We are asking for your help today because we believe in giving all of our students the chance to be a part of such a special event and give them the same opportunity more fortunate students may have.
