Disc Golf Trailer and Pro Shop

We own Paper or Plastic Sports, a disc golf promoter and retailer in northeast Illinois since 2006. Starting in Spring of 2007, we started running sanctioned PDGA events. There are eight to ten events per year on average where we provide the prize fulfillment and merchandise for our tournament players.
Ever since the beginning our desire was to offer a “full service disc golf shop” at each event. Our current mobile pro shop brings over 3000 discs and a full line of apparel and accessories to every event. We want to give the player every opportunity to pick up the exact disc they need in order to elevate their game. With the sheer volume of disc golf manufacturers and disc molds available right now, there is a demand to carry an extremely wide selection. We want to expand our selection even more.
The problem that we face with a large mobile pro shop is transportation. Through mid-2014 we used a full size van to transport everything, and it was filled to the max. There was no room even for passengers! For the second half of 2014 and now the beginning of 2015, we have started to rent a cargo trailer. While renting a trailer is nice, we still have to unload immediately after arriving home at tournament end and return the trailer by morning. This can be exhausting work, especially after a multi-day tournament weekend!
This is where we need your help. We would love to buy a trailer of our own. The desire would be to get a trailer with the proper upgrades and required space to last us for a nice, long while. Buying a trailer is a large expense, and we are hoping that you could help us out! We are offering multiple donation opportunities. All of these items would feature our main Paper or Plastic Sports logo prominently on the design. Look for options for t-shirts, dry fit shirts, hoodies, hats, and more!
Every pledge for some sort of merchandise will come with additional Paper or Plastic Sports goodies, such as a mini and sticker. Additional ideas and suggestions are very welcome!
So we’ve talked about the trailer portion. What’s this business about a Pro Shop? YES! We are in serious talks about opening a physical, brick and mortar top of the line DISC GOLF PRO SHOP. The location of the store is still up in the air. However, if funding goes well in this project, the money left over from purchasing the trailer will go towards expenses to open up a disc golf and board game store hopefully in the spring of 2017.
