WHS Pam Pack New Sports Complex

It is with great excitement that I present to you an amazing opportunity within the Washington community!  For almost 10 years, the Washington High School athletic program has had a goal in mind, and this dream finally became a reality! On February 1, 2018, Beaufort County Schools purchased the 7 acre lot immediately next to the high school.  In a joint effort between soccer and football, the reality of a full-sized soccer field on campus and improved fields for outdoor sports and organizations like soccer, football, track and field, band, and ROTC will be created.  Other than the purchase of the land, this project will not be funded by the county. This means the money must be raised privately through fundraising and donations. For this reason we are in need of your support to help make this dream a reality.  Our school serves close to 500 student athletes per year.  Over time, this field would benefit thousands of Beaufort County residents, alumni, their children and grandchildren. Our first phase is clearing the land, installing irrigation, fencing, lighting, grass, and landscaping. To get this project under way we are asking for help from the community, alumni, local businesses, and any organizations that are willing to help support the Pam Pack! The total cost of this project from start to finish will be $450,000.  We know this is a huge expense, and we have some donations already coming in, but we are motivated to begin fundraising immediately.  We believe this is a project that will allow our teams to practice and compete at the championship level, just like our teams have for the past several years.  The project will benefit student-athletes at WHS for many years beyond what some of us will work, while honoring those who came before all of this.
