On the 18th February 2017 I will be paddling a SUP paddleboard down the Macquarie River from Wellington to Narromine - IN A DOG COSTUME - to raise money for PetRescue! www.petrescue.com.au
My aim is to complete the 150km journey over 2 days... on a SUP board... in a dog costume!
Start Date: Saturday,18th February 2017
Start Time: 7am
Start Place: Oxley Park Reserve, Wellington
Finish Date: Sunday, 19th February 2017
Finish Time: 7pm
Destination: Narromine Rotary Park
(There will be a free sausage sizzle dinner provided by Midwest Foods at Narromine Rotary Park at the end of the journey.)

PetRescue is a national animal welfare charity enabling all Australians to discover the joy and unconditional love a rescue pet brings. With the awesome support of a growing community of pet lovers.
Connecting homeless pets with loving forever homes
PetRescue believes there is a home for every pet in need and enough love to save the lives of all homeless pets in pounds and shelters.
They’ve made it their mission to put homeless pets into the hearts and minds of people in such a powerful way that killing adoptable animals becomes completely unacceptable in Australia.
Why Australia’s homeless pets urgently need our help
· Every year, approximately 230,000 pets remain unclaimed in Australia’s pounds and shelters. That’s roughly 110,000 dogs and 120,000 cats are left homeless each year!
· On average, 40% of these unclaimed pets are killed at the pound simply because homes aren’t found for them.
· The Government's pound system places little or no value on pet adoption, leaving it to community groups and charities to take responsibility for saving the lives of pets that remain unclaimed at the pound
These animals need our help. By sponsoring me, the funds will help PetResue connect homeless pets with loving forever homes.
