Warhorse Community,
Football season is over and gone, maybe for the last time for some of our students as they graduate, but soon the temperatures will come back up and our players will again hit the field running play after play, sweating, probably losing some lunches, and giving OUR VALLEY every ounce of sweat in anticipation of stepping back on that field in August or perhaps feeling the thunderous gallops of our community for the first time as a player. These are times that change lives, inspire greatness, and leave the most memorable of impressions.
So, why are we here reading this and thinking back to the last game we were at or played in? Because it's time for us to inspire and support our athletes.
10 YEARS! We'll say that again with context. It has been 10 YEARS since our football team has walked onto that gridiron in matching, unused, jerseys with numbers that can be read from the stands, and pants that suit our Warhorses.
Coach Padgett has put together a committee that is coming to you to ask for your support. Coach has worked with Nike to provide us with an opportunity to buy both a Home and Away uniform for the price of only one (BOGO). Buy One Get One! This opportunity doesn't come often and this committee, made of community members, business owners and even some Roberson Grads (Be Nice!), is coming to you for your help. We have until March 31st to meet our goal and our goal represents 40 new Home and Away uniforms and severely needed equipment to keep our athletes safe. YOUR DONATION IS TAX DEDUCTBLE
This is OUR VALLEY, these are OUR ATHLETES, and OUR COMMUNITY. Let us inspire, let us support and let us be part of the memories our athletes are left with to pass on the pride to the next Warhorse.
