Mentoring Youth Racing Program
I have assembled a program unlike anything our teens have seen.  There are both boys & girls between the ages of 14 & 18 from different church youth groups from within the city in this program.  Mission statement: Build teamwork, self-esteem, respect, leadership, confidence and a lifetime of skills.  Making them better students, citizens, and eventually professionals in the work place.  They will learn what it means to commit to a goal, work hard to reach that goal, and in some cases not attain that goal. They will be involved in all aspects of racing, from the garage, testing, racing, and back to the garage.  They will learn how to disassemble a racecar, the aspects of which include but are not limited to rebuilding shocks, suspension workings, motor rebuilds, and the details of preparing the racecar for the next race.  They will learn skills such as welding, fabricating, mechanics, geometry, radio communications, crew chief, safety coordinator, and the definition and use of many tools.   Ours is a different kind of sport, they will experience the excitement of working on the racecar during a race, and the agony of defeat when everything tried keeps us from the finish line, and the sweet taste of victory when all their hard work pays off as we cross that finish line!
Requirements:
Must maintain a C or higher grade.   Tutoring or schoolwork assistance is available.
Stay out of trouble at home and in school.
Be involved in a local church youth group.
Phones, video games, or other distracting devises will not be allowed when work there is to be done.
As they progress through this youth racing program they will go from the simplest of tasks such as sweeping up the shop, cleaning the racecar, to learning the workings of the racecar, wrenching on the racecar, riding in the racecar which will eventually lead to driving the racecar, and ultimately building their own Off-Road Racecar!
Why a Class 1600 Off-Road Racecar?  Because this is a pro class with many opportunities to race not only in our deserts, but also beyond.  It is a Class that I have been racing in successfully for many years.  This team is excited to teach and mentor the teens; it’s our way of giving the next generation the skills and tools to succeed in many aspects of life.
I would like other race teams in other cities to follow our lead and develop such programs in their areas and experience the benefits of this program.
This Mentoring Youth Racing Program Sponsorship is more than just a donation; it's an opportunity to make a difference in a youth’s life, their families, and beyond.
Your contribution will go towards the following and much more:  Entry Fee, Fuel, Safety Equipment, Fire Suites, Helmets, Neck Restrains, Parts, Tools and Equipment to be used by the youth when they are working on the racecar, Work cloths such as coveralls, Team Shirts & Hats to be worn during technical inspection, race day, and other promotional racing events.
I realize the importance of supporting the youth racing program through many different methods and I'm always willing to discuss various ways to make this even more beneficial to the Teens, our sponsors, and our community.  Please feel free to contact me to discuss the program sponsorship opportunities.

Thank you for your consideration!
