Our Volunteer Trip to El Salvador

Thank you for your consideration and viewing our page!
Moshe and I (Jasmin) are planning on heading down to El Salvador to volunteer our time with the YoungLife group. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for us, the many teenagers we go with, as well as the people of Rancho Grande (where we will be staying and volunteering).
Young life is a great group which allows local teenagers from Syracuse to travel down to El Salvador to both learn about a completely different culture, serve as ambassadors of "America" and work on multiple projects developed throughout the last 11 years that include bringing infrastructure for long-term clean drinking water, a school house, community center and irrigation system.
We would both LOVE to include ourselves in the teenager group, but we are very excited to actually be going down as medical providers and group leaders!
We will hold free medical clinics (for locals of all ages in remote El Salvador, not just children) with the other providers visiting with us at Rancho Grande. In past years there has been a dentist, ophthalmologist and this year we will be the pediatrics providers. We also hope to help with other recent projects including the expansion of clean water and infrastructure improvements throughout the village. As pediatricians, we are most excited to play with all the village children and also to serve as ambassadors not just from the US but from Upstate!
We are asking for your help in our fundraising. All funds raised go towards the many projects we will be working on as well as our travel and they are tax-deductible.
If you would like to donate medical or school supplies, these are also very needed and appreciated and can be dropped off to Patty at Upstate Pediatrics.
