Our forever-kitten Joy's surgery

Donation protected
Thanks for taking the time to read this. We've never asked for help as it just isn't in our nature but this time we're doing it for one of the most important beings in our lives; our family member Joy. She's in desperate need of help before it's too late!!

We adopted our first kitties Faith and Joy back in December 2010 to be their Christmas miracle. They had been at the local chain pet store in a glass box for more than half a year and just kept getting passed over due to them needing to go together and being older. We immediately fell in love with them especially when Joy kept headbutting us the whole time in the store! Papers were signed and they came home shortly after. Always spoiled with plenty of places to curl up and nap or watch the birds as well as two parents that care so deeply for them.

They've been with us through so much; lived in our first apartment with us, traveled across the country and back in an old RV while we searched for a new life, the two years after while we tried to get our lives back together and find a place to live after realizing where home was, met and curled up on friends that are no longer with us... they just have been and still are such a huge part of our lives.

Unfortunately a couple weeks ago we noticed Joy was drooling. Since she's still in perfect spirits and won't stop purring we took her to the vet thinking she had a bad tooth... only to find she has a tumor growing on the right side of her jaw. Feline Oral Squamous Cell Carcinoma is the technical term. It's growing pretty quickly and needs to be removed immediately.

She'd make a full recovery and could learn to eat and drink missing part of her jaw. She'd still have a good quality of life and could live out the rest relaxing like she's supposed to! The vets said she's in great health otherwise and would easily live another five years. But even if it were only five days I'd be doing everything and anything in my power to be with her longer. If you're reading this, you understand.

We've already been to two consultations and exams, and the bills for the surgery are staggering. She may need additional radiation treatments to be sure the cancerous cells are all gone.

Every cent of this money will go to Joy's surgery and her aftercare medicines & treatments and I'll post every update I get so everyone knows how she's doing!

Please, help make this Christmas miracle happen for Joy. Spread the word and send this to every animal lover you know! She's the sweetest cat you'll ever meet, I promise! And she'd head butt every one of you if you came to visit after:)
