Casa Program for Homeless Teens in Santa Fe, NM

Tax deductible
Monte del Sol Charter School's Casa Program for youth and families who are homeless or at great risk of homelessness,  in Santa Fe, NM, needs your help with emergency assistance in the pandemic.   Our food pantry is bare.   We disbursed $1000. worth of groceries in one hour last week.

Almost every family served by our Casa Program is headed by a single parent who was working multiple jobs is now unemployed,  due to the pandemic.   We also serve unaccompanied homeless youth.   Most do not qualify for newly expanded unemployment benefits, although they have always paid social security taxes.  They were already living paycheck-to-paycheck, and are now facing overwhelming food insecurity.   Our state has temporarily banned evictions, but rent and utility and rent bills continue to pile up.

100% of your donation will go directly to feed our youth and families and help them with rent and utility bills.

We are meeting our goals: Monte del Sol  has the 4th highest homeless student graduation rates in New Mexico!

Thank you!
