Our Beloved WSU Housekeeper Gladis

Donation protected
Gladis Carlson is not only our beloved housekeeper, but she is apart of our family here at WSU. Over the Christmas holidays Gladis was diagnosed with breast cancer; due to her recent diagnoses, she has been unable to work. Gladis has been a part of the WSU community and family for a long time now and her husband George had an unfortunate accident last November, which resulted in him breaking his hip. With neither of them currently working they are in need of help with upcoming medical bills and money to buy daily essentials. Through Gladis’ diagnoses, he has stood by her side and has been her rock. This story is one of love and heartache.

It is nearly impossible not to walk into the same room as Galdis and not to smile instantaneously. Her smile is infectious, and her dance moves are out of this world. With Gladis not here the house has been quiet; she brings light and love into the house every day. When she comes to the house with her homemade guacamole, the kitchen becomes swarmed with her favorite women.

Galdis has been a loyal member of the WSU Greek community as she has worked with Pi Beta Phi, Sigma Kappa, as well as Gamma Phi Beta for several years.  Our thoughts and prayers are with Gladis and her husband on their long road ahead of them. As they face this hard journey ahead love, support, and help would mean the world to them.  Gladis is always a friendly face to see and has a special bond with each woman of each chapter. Gladis holds a place in each of our hearts so any contribution would help, no matter the amount.
