Our Beloved Community Member Needs Your Help

If you have been in Olympia for any amount of time you are bound to have met, heard of, or befriended Lili. Lili has become unemployed after an unjust termination from their former workplace*. This termination was completely unexpected, leaving them unable to prepare and save for rent, utilities, car payments, and other bills. Lili is a Queer, Latinx, Femme who has been finanically supporting themselves since they were 16 years old. They do not have access to any money outside of their last paycheck which will only be half the amount it usually is.

This termination happened only days after their move into a new apartment, a moment she had been looking forward to for over a year, now, they are unsure if they will be able to stay there.

Lili is currently looking for other work but the Olympia job market is slow and often times not reliable. Funds will be used to support themselves and their two cats, Osa and Tuna, during their job hunt and transition into a new workplace.

Lili is a compassionate, empathetic, and caring person who puts her heart and soul into the community. We hear all the time about how Femmes of Color are disposed of in the workplace, especially nonprofits, and our society at large. We need to show up for one of our own! Take love and solidarity out of theory and put it into practice!

-Sharing this post on all your social media (preferably more than once)
-Offering to perform tasks for them, such as grocery shopping, assist them in cleaning their former or current apartment, idk get creative with it.
