"Mama, Mama, amo." (love you) Joy calls out with a big smile as she rocks in her crib waiting for one of us to greet her each morning.
"Ave, ave!" (bird, bird) she calls out as she swings back and forth on the back patio.
Joy is a joy to our family and already one of us. We have enjoyed watching her reach each milestone from rolling over to her first steps. She gives the best lovings ever (i.e. hugs, kisses, rubbing of your face, telling each of us that she loves us). She loves to see people smile, enjoys her dolls, pretty clothes, and playing with all her soon-to-be siblings.
We want to be there to see Joy enjoy her first day of school. We want to give her a chance to rise above the poverty she was born into, to give her a biligual education, preparing her to reach her highest potential, to follow her dreams, and to watch God write her story.
We, Ted Snyder Family, are missionaries to the people of Honduras. We became the foster family for Joy the day we received a call looking for a home for a six month old. Joy was abondened in the hospital at birth and after spending six months in a children's home she came to us. She was a preemie of six weeks. Since birth she has struggled to overcome minor health issues, and almost two years later Joy is nearly off all of the medications, and almost on time developmentally.
A month ago we received another call, social services wanted to visit Joy. We were nervous, were they going to move her to another home? Would we lose our Joy? How would we explain this to our other children who claim her as their little sister? So, you can imagine how over joyed we were when social services started the visit saying that our baby Joy had been cleared for adoption & would we want to adopt! Absolutely!
Will you please help us? We love this little bundle of energy and want to be her family!
We are in need of about $4,500 US for this process. The lawyer here says it will cost us about $4,000 US. And $500 is needed to help us get all the paperwork we need from the states. This is a costly process and more so since we are doing it all internationally.
This is an urgent need as the paperwork must be filed soon and we need to adopt before the goverment moves her.
We need to get the majority of this paperwork to our lawyer, here in Honduras, this month (December 2016). We are working as fast as we can.
This little dear has made one challenging home change and without us adopting her she will face at least one more. We are hopeful that we can be her forever family! After all, every child deserves to have security and to be cherished. If you can give we will be eternally grateful and so will Joy! YOU could be the reason her adoption progresses in the needed time and the reason she will stay in our home. This little girly means the world to us! Thank you for your help!
