To know her is to love her. And to know her son is to love him and her a million times more. I'm talking about our good friend, Justine Riordan.

Where do I even begin when talking about Justine? She is generosity and love, sprinkled with a whole lot of sass. She gives and gives and gives some more to those who need help, without once ever thinking of putting herself first. No matter how many curve balls life throws her way, she still steps up and takes swing after swing at them, never looking to ask for help from anyone. All the while, still trying to figure out more ways to raise money for children with disabilities to enjoy life to the fullest. She does it all in the name and honor of her handsome, funny, smart son, Mikey, whom we all affectionately call Mikey Mo because of his unconditional love for that furry, red character on Sesame Street.

Mikey has been in Justine's life for 10 years now, and he officially became her son this past year, even though it was as if he was born in her heart and meant to be with her from the moment he was born 18 years ago this week. This has been a long, but rewarding journey for Justine, and she continues to go above and beyond as any mother would for her son, her whole world.

Justine's generosity knows no bounds ... from starting Mikey Mo Gives Back, a foundation in her son's name to raise money for children with disabilities to be able to attend art and music therapy classes to turning her son's birthday every year into a celebration like no other for the children at Mikey's school (90 kids so far this year!), Justine never feels like she's done enough, when we all know she gives all of herself and goes above and beyond what most people would do for anyone else's child.

After much begging and pleading on my part for her to at least think about doing this, she has allowed me to start this page in her honor, to help her and Mikey deal with those curve balls life keeps throwing at her. No matter how much she gives, it seems that no sooner she turns a corner that another blow comes their way. From someone stealing Mikey's handicapped placard out of her car to Mikey's hearing aids and glasses having been lost one day after therapy to now her "new" used car giving out completely on her only two months into purchasing it, still having to pay it off and now not having a vehicle to help get her to and from work and Mikey to his doctors' appointments and therapies. Justine refuses to ask for or accept any monetary help from her friends no matter how much we tell her we want to, always saying from her heart that she knows how much we all have to deal with in our own lives and how very blessed she and Mikey really are compared to others. That is the essence of Justine's selflessness ... and this is why so many of us want her to be the focus of our love and giving.

Michael's health is very, very fragile right now and the need and importance of Justine being able to get him to his many medical appointments and therapies is critical. Justine will find out this week if he is going to be hospitalized again with the possibility of certain medical procedures being needed as Mikey has been losing weight and muscle mass at a rapid pace. He has got a long road ahead of him, one that Justine travels with him every second. Without a car, Justine would also be unable to get to her multiple jobs, which is their only source of income, and will most likely lose both her jobs and their home.

Please give whatever you feel you can; every dollar helps. Please also spread the word about this campaign to your family and friends and let's help make this go viral for our friend. She'd take the shirt off of her back for you without hesitation. She is truly an angel here on earth for so many lives that she has touched, not just Mikey's. We love her and want so very much to help make her life just a little bit lighter, a little bit less worrisome about things like a car and her bills and keeping a roof over their heads. I'd say we're making her life better, but there's already one bright shining light in her life that takes care of that.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart on behalf of Justine and all of us who love her so much.
