Our ALS journey

My husband Don was diagnosed with ALS in 2017. Don worked as a pediatric ICU nurse for 17 years before the disease robbed him of his ability to care for critically ill children. Don also used to hike, mountain bike and do photography, all which he has lost the ability to do.
We are currently in a place where we must pay out of pocket for expenses such as: home health aides to help with care and meal prep, a wheelchair ramp, home equipment such as adaptive eating utensils and mobility equipment. Insurance will not cover these expenses until Don is 100% home bound. 
Don gave 100% of himself for the years he was a nurse, and saved many lives. My hope is that you will find it in your heart to help us on this journey so we can continue to get Don the help he needs in the home and to get the adaptive equipment we will need.
I am trying to work full time to maintain insurance and financial security through all of this. Your donations will help immensely.
