Our team of osteopaths (Frederic Dumunier - Pierre Boachon - Carl Teychene) is hosting a fundraising drive for an upcoming trip in February 2019 in Haiti.
We will provide Osteopathic care & Education at the Hospital Albert Scwheitzer (HAS )
Win-Win-Win Project:
• A win for the patients of the Hospital and its dispensaries.
• A win for the paramedical and medical staff that will benefit from osteopathic education.
• A win for the osteopathic practitioners, collaborating with the Hospital’s medical team.
A little bit about ourselves:
Frederic :
Frederic graduated from the IFOGA in Avignon, France.
Frederic practices European style Osteopathy by being gentle and very precise, seeking and fixing the cause(s) of the problem to relieve the symptoms. He pays special attention to treating a patient and not a complaint.
His strong knowledge in musculoskeletal, visceral, neural and circulatory systems allows him to always use the most effective treatment.
His work on the osteopathic approach of the autonomic nervous system (ANS) measured via the heart rate variability earned him an honourable mention and a citation in an osteopathic book focusing on a new approach of the ANS. His adventurous spirit sent him to Morocco as part of the medical team for the rally race 'Raid Passion Desert'. In 2016, he went on his first mission as an Osteopath in Haiti.
Pierre :
Pierre graduated from the IFOGA in Avignon, France.
Pierre is trained in structural, functional, visceral, craniosacral, Jones (Strain-Counterstrain), Mitchell (muscular), vascular, nerves manipulation, GOT and paediatric Osteopathic treatments.
He was selected as part of the medical team for the motorcycle and ATV rally race “Raid Passion Desert – Morocco” in 2014.
Since 2017 he has been a volunteer member of Osteopathy for Haiti and has offered osteopathic training for Medical doctor and Physiotherapy at the Albert Schweitzer Hospital in Haiti.
His palpation and techniques are very precise as proven by ultrasound testing when he has executing abdominal palpation on organs and blood vessels. To remain at the leading edge of his profession he performs, continuing educations, every year on human modalities, such as Human Dissection, Physiology and Osteopathic techniques.
Carl :
Carl graduated from the IDO in Paris, France.
Carl is an enthusiastic osteopathic manual practitioner treating all of his cases with a holistic approach. He never misses an opportunity to remind his clients that Osteopathy is an extraordinary holistic medicine that considers the client as a whole. It is a preventive, preservation, and curative approach, but also an emergency medicine for acute conditions.
He went on to work with two clinics in Paris including baby, pregnant woman, man, woman, senior, athlete with a holistic approach to total body health. In 2016 he moved to Canada. Since then, he has furthered his knowledge about visceral manipulation with the Barral Institute.
