In Loving Memory of Oscar Gomez

In early March 2019 Oscar Gomez noticed a drop in his energy level and decided to visit the doctor. He was diagnosed with stage 4 cholangiocarcinoma (bile duct cancer in the liver). He continued working and staying active until he could no longer do so due to intense pain and was forced to quit his job. Unfortunately Oscar has no medical insurance and has to pay for treatment and medical bills out of pocket. As the head of the household he also has a family to maintain and bills to pay which is why I decided to start this Gofund me page in hopes to lessen the burden. 

Let me help you understand the kind of person Oscar is, which will also tell you why I’m reaching out to you for help. I met Oscar when I was only 14 years old. He has always been a hardworking man who has always been too prideful to ask for help (he would probably be upset if he knew I was doing this for him). He opened the doors to his home for me when I needed it the most and never once complained. I am now 33 years old and until this day we remain great friends. I hate to see him fight this battle which he has no control over because if he could he would be working and providing for his family.
