Orangutans need our help!

These beautiful great apes share 97% DNA with us humans and you only need to see one up close or on television to see how similar they are to us. Unfortunately they are losing the battle for habitat in there native areas of Borneo and Sumatra.
Mainly because of illegally grown Palm Oil Plantations. Because of this, Orangutans are likely to become extinct within the decade if things don't improve for them. BUT there are some amazing people/organisations like BOSF (Borneo Orangutan Survival Foundation) who are fighting to save orangs. Therefore if we help BOSF we will help save these Great Red Apes!

BOSF is a Non-profit NGO based in Indonesia who work tirelessly to rescue orangutans who have had their habitat destroyed,  rehabilitate them and then release these orangutans back into the wild.... Yep, that's right over 300 orangutans have been released into the wild through the work of BOSF.

To continue their incredible work BOSF needs our help. They need to buy more land so that the Orangutans have a safe place to be released. Owning land will stop palm oil plantations or coal mining companies from buying and destroying these forests.

Your donation also goes to supporting carers and keepers who work in the sanctuaries and forest schools 24/7....
And also to help release Orangutans back into the wild, which is the best possible step to saving these amazing animals from extinction.

I will be part of a production team making a documentary about the orangutans being released (at this stage there is 6 to be released) and I will be sharing this doco with you all so you see where your donations went into help facilitate. At this stage there is 6 being released back into the wild which is so very exciting. 

Worth noting that all donations are tax deductable, so whether you choose to donate $20 or $1000, you will be contributing towards the protection of the forests of Borneo and the ultimate survival of the orangutan.
