A Letter Of Intent was filed on May 8th to have a facility that will house up to 900 commuting individuals built at 361 Belgrade Ave, Roslindale (Clay Auto / NTB site).
GBANA along with the neighborhood believes that the site for this number of commuting individuals is not safe. That the immediate area cannot handle such an influx of people. In addition, the facility does not provide adequate space for the headcount it is planning to serve.
This gofundme account is managed by GBANA (Greater Belgrade Avenue Neighborhood Association www.gbana.org) and we are asking anyone who is opposed to the existing proposed project to help offset costs that GBANA Board of Directors have already personally incurred in addition to saving for near-term costs. The expenses incurred have been to help drive awareness within the community of the recent filing and to ensure the local officials as well as the BPDA are aware of the large opposition.
Examples of expenses are: website hosting / operational costs, paper flyers, newspaper ads, facility rental fees for neighborhood meetings, yard signs, postcards, Facebook ads, etc.
We invite anyone who is opposed to the proposed project to contribute.
