THIS IS NESTOR
Circle K/Five Star Stable's Beloved Barn Cat.
Nestor may not win any prizes for being the best rat catcher, but he sure knows how to put a smile on your face when he greets you on the patio. And truth be told, he's smart enough to know that if he rubs against you and stares you down with those sweet little eyes, a can of Fancy Feast is a much better catch than any rat. He has been a staple at the barn for over a decade now.
So, when Nestor went missing for two weeks, we feared the worst, and mourned his loss.
But, to our surprise, April 5th, Nestor reappeared (a belated Easter miracle) but he had been injured. Somehow he survived some type of attack and as you can see in the photo, his tail is missing, leaving only bone and raw flesh.
Our favorite cowboy managed to catch him and take him to the vet. Nestor is scheduled for surgery today, to remove the tail and will then be put on a regiment of antibiotics to fight off any infection.
We really need your help to pay the vet bill.
