Operation Cinderella - Wausau



Operation Cinderella is expanding! 
Operation Cinderella Central Wisconsin is being planned to launch March 2018. 
This second prom dress event will be held in Wausau, with plans to eventually serve girls throughout central Wisconsin.

Operation Cinderella Prom Dress Event is a practical tool we use to show low income or under-served teen girls that they are precious, priceless, valued and cared about. We have held our event for the past 7 years in the Fox Valley and have helped hundreds of girls be able to attend their prom.  Each girl who attends recieves a free prom dress, shoes, jewelry, and clutch. They also recieve some pampering and lots of encouragement.     To explain how the prom dress event  works:

* School guidance counselors, teachers,  or social workers distribute invitations to selected students.
* Students return an RSVP to their school contact.
*A representative from  Operation Cinderella collects the RSVP’s.
*Students attend event during their designated session time.

 There are multiple time slots in which students will be invited to attend. Each girl can bring one female guest with them to share the day. At each session there are personal shopping assistants (fairy godmothers) who will guide each girl through the process of finding the perfect dress and all the accessories needed to enjoy prom in style.

We realize we can’t repair the issues in their lives—but we can “fix” this one problem,
And we need some help to get this second prom dress give away started!
