OpenCon Haiti needs final funding
Donation protected
OpenCon Haiti 2017 - the first ever OpenCon in the Carribean region - needs your help to finalize its budget : its organizers, a group of young students in social sciences from Port-au-Prince, are 1000 CAD $ short!
Already more than 120 Haitians students from all over Haiti are registered in this unique event which will happen on Saturday, November 25th at Cap Haitien, in Northern Haiti. These students want so much to discover and discuss open science, open data and open education with our friends and mentors, in situ or through skype.
They are not rich; therefore, it is not possible to impose any entrance fee. The organizers wish to offer them a simple meal and an excellent quality of web connexion.
If you believe in open science and that open science should be accessible in the Global South, please help this event with a gift of 10 or 20 $ before November 24th.
