Open Hearts for Open Heart Surgery

I'm a 70-year copywriter/rideshare driver. I just spent a week in the hospital for respiratory-asthmatic distress. Which has been linked to my heart problems. Doctors agree I must have open-heart surgery to replace my mitral valve. The problem is, though I have medical coverage, I don't have enough money to cover my living expenses while I'm recovering from the surgery which could take a month or 2.

Therefore I'm asking my relatives, friends, and colleagues to donate what they can to help someone (me) pull through this tough period. So I can get back to work without going into severe debt.

My goal to raise $15,000 by the time of my operation, October 9th.

I want to thank the wonderful people that have donated to my cause so far (a total of $8,715) and I wish them a healthy future in return.

The operation is on Oct. 9, so the need for those funds will be upon me quite soon. They will foot the bill for my living expenses so I can concentrate on getting better without worrying about rent, gas/electric and other bills. I need another $6,285, so I'm asking for your help.
