Around a month ago, our grandma was taken to the hospital for an abdominal pain she had. They found the cause of that pain was an acute appendicitis and they were able to solve that issue easily. Coincidentally, they also found that she had a mass in her pancreas but they still weren’t sure if it was malignant or not. She underwent further testing and unfortunately they found that the mass was malignant, which means she has pancreatic cancer; and that is our main concern now.
Our family has found a doctor who can provide biomolecular treatments and medications in an effort to diminish the size of the tumor. The only issue we face now is finding the resources necessary to obtain these medications.
As her grandchildren we ask of your help in this matter. We feel that she still has memories left to share with us, and that she can fight this with the right medications.
Throughout the years she has been there for us through the highs and lows, she has taught us her crafts, she has taught us important lessons and values that we could have not learned through anyone else; and we believe she’s not done teaching us.

Hace alrededor de un mes, nuestra abuela fue llevada al hospital por un dolor abdominal que tenía. En el hospital, vieron que la causa del dolor fue apendicitis, pero ellos resolvieron ese problema fácilmente. A la vez, también le consiguieron una masa en el páncreas pero todavía no sabían si era maligna o no.
Después de más pruebas, desafortunadamente concluyeron que la masa era maligna, y eso significa que tiene cancer pancreático; y ahora esa es nuestra batalla principal.
Nuestra familia encontró un médico que provee tratamientos y medicamentos biomoleculares con el propósito de disminuir el tamaño del tumor, pero el problema que tenemos ahora es conseguir los recursos necesarios para estos medicamentos.
Nosotros sus nietos, pedimos su ayuda con este asunto. Sentimos que ella aún tiene momentos que compartir con nosotros, y que ella puede luchar contra esto con las medicaciones apropiadas.
Durante los años ella ha estado con nosotros en las buenas y las malas, nos ha enseñado sus manualidades y nos ha dado lecciónes y enseñado valores que no pudiéramos haber aprendido con cualquier otra persona; y creemos que ella aún no ha terminado de enseñarnos todo.
