Onesimos "Oni" Barnabas' Funeral Fund

On Wednesday 8th May 2019, our beloved Onesimos unexpectedly passed away at the age of 31. To everyone who was lucky enough to meet and know him, Oni was an unwavering light and positive force. He brought joy to those around him, and dedicated himself to enriching the lives of others through his faith.
Oni was born in Addis Ababa on 15th October 1987 and began his life in the UK from a very early age. He completed his further studies in Business Administration at Newham College, but, when he was young, music became his passion, leading him to teach himself how to play the piano. From the age of 9, he served in the Church Ministry, playing musical instruments for his congregation’s services.
At the age of 21, Oni married and became the parent of two wonderful children. He was an incredible father, and his children were his joy. Oni was God fearing, kind, an excellent listener and councillor, and was loved by many. He reached many people throughout his lifetime by following in his father’s footsteps and sharing his love for the word of God.
Oni built a following of like-minded Godly faithful people online, using his social media presence to deliver his sermons. He will be dearly missed by all he connected with throughout his short, but inspiring life.
Oni’s death was completely unexpected and sudden, something we could not prepare for emotionally or financially. Funerals are expensive and emotionally difficult events to arrange. Oni’s cousins are asking that £15,000 be raised for the funeral fund. Your donations will go towards various aspects of the funeral including:
Funeral Directors’ costs
Funeral venue
Reception venue
Transport for elderly members of the congregation
Burial site
Floral arrangements
