On going battle

Last November 10, 2016, my mother Cindy Mamye was diagnosed with angina! After being diagnosed she required a medical procedure in Halifax to have stents put into her heart. On December1st the day of her pre surgery meeting the doctors ran more tests and realized it was worse then originally thought, and she now had to have a double bi-pass done on her heart. On December 7, she went threw a successful double bi-pass heart surgery, being released back to Charlottetown on December 11. On December 21st, her incision opened up, and started causing trouble which she is still dealing with today. In January she was admitted back Into the hospital in Halifax, where she spent a week before being transferred back to the QEH here in Charlottetown. She went back to work on March 6 for a few shorts weeks. Still not able to fight the infection, she required a second surgery back in Halifax to remove an external wire on April 13. She was hooked up to a cadd pump and a vac machine to help try and clean up the incision and infection. After going back to work at the end of April, she was able to make it into June before being put back off of work for 2 weeks with her infection level becoming to high.  And finally on august 24, she was put off work perminatly until she was 100%. With multiple trips to the hospital here in Charlottetown every day to same day treatment ( mostly by cab both ways, with everyone working threw the day) to have her cadd pump serviced. Still unable to get her infection under control with multiple antibiotics and other prescriptions, she now has to have a 3rd surgery in Halifax.  With countless trips back and forth to Halifax for meetings, check ups, medications, and endless nights in hotels for my parents, this has become a very expensive year for them. With my father taking time off work and being beside her every step of the way, and my mother not really able to work. She now has to go back to Halifax on Thursday November 2nd for her 3rd surgery. This surgery requires the doctors to break her sternum again scrap the infection off, and put a titanium plate over her sternum. Not knowing how long my parents will be in Halifax again this time, and with a long recovery ahead and not being able to work, im trying to help my parents with this huge expense. Over the last year this has already cost them well into the thousands. This isn't something that they would want me to do, but I know how stressful this has becomes mentally and financially! If any of you know my mother, she is always there for anyone who needs anything and to help out. So if you are able to help out with anything, it would be greatly appreciated, and I will be  forever thankful!  Hopefully this surgery is the last and the doctors can finally get this all cleaned up, and get her back on a healthy path and back to work!!

Thank you: Jimmy
