We are an Odyssey of the Mind team from Spring Branch ISD in Houston, Texas. Our Coach and team have spent a countless number of hours over the last 3 years working on creative problem solving and teamwork. This year we placed 1st in regionals and 2nd in state out of 12 teams competing! Only the 1st and 2nd place teams qualify to move on to THE 2016 WORLD FINALS in Iowa! What an amazing accomplishment!
The cost of registration, traveling from Houston to Ames, Iowa, and lodging is very expensive. We want all of our team to be able to compete in the World Finals. All donations will be used for these costs. We are beyond excited to be representing our community, our school, our family, and friends. We hope to bring home the world championship trophy with your support.
Odyssey of the Mind has grown into the largest international creative problem-solving competition worldwide. Over 800 teams from around the world will compete in the 37th Odyssey of the Mind World Finals from May 24th to May 29th on the campus of Iowa State University. This means we have little over a month to collect the funds to get there!
This competition is an amazing opportunity. We will be experiencing a college campus atmosphere, using teamwork to present our problem, using creativity during our spontaneous competing. We are planning to be a buddy team for an international group of peers! We only dreamed of making it this far and with your help our dreams will come true!
